What are the benefits?

Do you have a large household with moderate to high water-usage? Do you regularly use anti-bacterial cleaning products? Are you using bleach often in your wash? Has your water tested high for iron? Is anyone in the home taking prescription medications?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, an enzyme/bacteria additive is recommended for your septic system!

Additives replenish lost microorganisms necessary in tanks to break down solids. Regular pumping, matched with consistent applications of enzymes, is the best way to maintain your septic system. Our additives are completely natural and environmentally safe.

*Please note that additives are only beneficial in a septic system; they are not necessary for a holding tank.

How to use the additives:

It’s easy! Just once a month (we recommend during a time of day when your house has minimal water usage, such as bedtime), open 1 packet, pour the contents (it looks a little like sawdust) into your toilet bowl. Let it sit in the water for a minute, then flush the toilet. That’s all! The additive will work its way down the plumbing lines out to your tank, where it will benefit your septic system.

If you wish, you can switch each month to a different toilet, sink, or drain. Be sure to use cool or lukewarm water to rinse it down a sink or drain – not hot water, which will kill the bacteria!
