About 3-Year Septic Maintenance

Don’t neglect regular maintenance of your septic system!
In Wisconsin, completing this service is required at least once every 3 years for every septic system. We will guide you through each step of this process!
Did you know? We are busiest April through October due to this maintenance. So don’t wait until the month of your deadline! It’s best to contact us when you receive your notice.
SCHEDULING
- HOW: Over the phone during business hours or via email using our website portal.
- WHAT we’ll need: Service address, your name, and current contact & billing information. We may request payment arrangements while scheduling. We will also ask if the tank covers are accessible and confirm other basic location & customer info with you at this time.
- WHEN: We are extremely busy from spring through fall, so be sure to contact us well in advance of your deadline! The more flexible you can be with your availability, the more likely it is that we can get to you sooner rather than later!
SERVICE
- Our experienced technicians provide a thorough service of your system by pumping out the tank(s), cleaning any applicable filters, and visually inspecting the components of your system, including the drain field.
- Since these components are outside the home, there is generally no need for access into the house for this maintenance service. That means we can complete our work and be on our way without anyone needing to be home.
- Your copy of the bill will either be left in the door or emailed to you, and it will include comments from our technician regarding your completed service and how your system is currently functioning.
- If we find anything that needs attention, we do our best to speak with you within a couple of business days to discuss our findings.
- We do not drive on lawns, but generally park in the driveway.
PAYMENT
- We accept all major credit/debit cards. We prefer card payments to be made through our website portal, but you can also make a payment over the phone with our office staff.
- We also accept cash, checks, and money orders.
- Prompt payment is appreciated and will ensure your service is reported to your county in a timely manner.
COUNTY REPORTING
- Once the service is paid, we report all compliant pumpings & inspections to your county.
- We do this online through each county’s website portal; there is no copy of a report to forward to the customer.
- If an invoice is paid in full at the time of service, please allow approximately 10 business days for that new maintenance date to be reported to the county.
INSPECTIONS VS.
FULL PUMPING SERVICE
Wisconsin’s 3-year maintenance program allows for some systems to be inspected without pumping the tanks. However, specific criteria must be met for the system to qualify for inspection-only.
Letting us perform a full pumping service, which includes the inspection, benefits your system by cleaning out the build-up of solids and helping us get a better look at all of the system’s components and how it is currently functioning. If your system is used regularly, we do recommend the full pumping service!
